As the founder of Options Matador, my journey into the world of trading was shaped by both triumphs and setbacks. Educated during the tumultuous 1987 stock market crash and experiencing losses during the dot-com bubble, I found my stride during the global financial crisis, unlocking the key to consistency in trading thereafter.

Motivated by the desire to leave a legacy and impart crucial financial knowledge to my children, ensuring their independence and freedom from the constraints of traditional employment, I embarked on a personal mission to educate them in the art of trading. Not so much for them to convert to trading, but rather, so that they would always have the choice to resign from jobs without fear of where the next dollar would come from. This is a truly different type of freedom.

This endeavour evolved into Options Matador, a platform dedicated to sharing my hard-earned insights and knowledge with not only my children but a wider community.

Why teach?

Life has a way of throwing you unexpected twists. Mine led me to divert my focus a few years ago, liquidating accounts to support my family. Now, with renewed dedication and a wealth of experience, I am committed to building up my trading capital once more and offering my expertise to others.

Many friends and colleagues have approached me in the past seeking guidance in managing their money, but I have consistently declined these requests. Trading is a deeply personal relationship with the markets, requiring acute self-awareness of one's psychology, temperament, and risk tolerances. Knowing my own personality well, I understood that managing the finances of friends and colleagues would not align with my principles. Now, with the time and resources to devote to teaching, I am eager to help others navigate the markets with confidence and achieve consistency.
